Why Is SEO Important For Your Business?

The importance of SEO can’t be emphasized enough. SEO is the key differentiating factor between your business and your contenders trying to get to the top of Google with out any form of paid advertising and marketing. Getting listed on Google with just a few keywords is the real essence of SEO. To give you a better insight into the importance of SEO let us take a look at the technical configuration of the pages to rank higher in Google.

The Google Search Engine Results Page or SERP as it is commonly known is the Google internal list of every website. When your website is listed on this page it means that Google believes your site is of some value to them. They provide this information to help the user to find what they are looking for. The Google Search Engine Results Page shows the Google page rank for each individual page.

This is an important concept that I want to discuss briefly. On-page quality determines whether or not your site is of any use to the user. In fact it is impossible to maintain the relevancy of your content if you do not maintain high rankings within the Google Search Engine Results Page. One of the biggest mistakes made by most webmasters is the belief that because the content is good or relevant that it will automatically get you high rankings within the Google SERPs. This is a common mistake amongst webmasters that try to fool Google into thinking the content is good by having relevant keywords sprinkled through the content.

Relevancy has everything to do with increasing the Google Page Rank. If a user is searching for the same product or service you offer on the internet, Google will provide results based on the user’s search term. If your website content providers have good keywords and a lot of content with the same words, then you will rank high. It is as simple as that.

One other important concept that I want to touch on is the importance of inbound links. Inbound links are incoming links to a web page from another website. They can come from any number of places including article submissions, forums, social networks, business directories, and more. If your site is well established and receives a lot of inbound links from credible sources then you are guaranteed to achieve a high Google ranking.

I mentioned the importance of on-page and off-page factors. Off-page factors include content and design. These factors are the reason you will likely achieve a higher ranking in the search engine results pages. On the other hand, content and design is what will help you to achieve higher rankings on Google. So make sure you optimize your website for the highest Google rankings.
